PHOTOS: A gravely serious issue - Barack Obama's light blue ties

I hate the colour light blue so much it hurts.

But I have noticed an alarming and bizarre tendency for world leaders to wear, well, light blue ties. Eg:









And even when they don't wear ties they find a way of giving me the light blues:




Now, I love Barack Obama so much I could cry. But - and it's a BIG but:
















Are there any boys out there who can explain to me what's happenin' with this light blue thing? Yes, blue is the Dem's colour, but that is NO excuse.

I always shop for suits with my wife, and she nixes any tie selection I might like.

For what it's worth, I like a darker blue, and burgundy instead of red. But what do I know? Obama clearly has more fashion sense in his left cuff link than I have in my whole body.

In my opinion, it is a clean look that lightens up a dark suit nicely, but does not change the color too much...I prefer reds with grey, not blue, and as you lighten up the suit, the light blue tie looks like crap. Look how terrible putin looks. That tie is too light for that suit.
