..then you are naive and view these things under misguided simplistic TV ways.

Professional vetting is not = to "being in the spotlight for 16 years" or having things come out in the news or campaigns.

Real professional vetting should be done to the Clintons AND everyone else for high positions - and many lower positions for that matter.

Jesus people, leave the fake vetting for the GOP crowd.

I thought we are the party of mature adults.

I don't have a problem with Hillary as SOS and in fact think that this could be turning the page significantly from the past year into a viable strong relationsip/partnership that will benefit our country (and the world), but people must be vetted.

10. Sorry, but most of us have no issue with them being vetted, just as any potential SOS would be.

5. Vetting of all appointees is essential, and not unique to Hillary.
This vetting is not the same as being viewed in the public eye. It's delving into private financial matters and determining real and potential conflicts of interest.

9. We do not know who gave Bill all his millions...

in speaking fees and such over the last 8 years.

But you know who probably does know? The RNC, and they will trot it out at the most critical time when it could damage a delicate treaty.

Remember, Repukes are allowed to be eyebrow deep in conflict of interest, and Democrats aren't even allowed the shadow of an appearance of conflict.

8. Something else to keep in mind: Finding something during vetting doesn't mean you're disqualified.
Everybody gets some skeletons in the closet - Obama himself had the whole Rev. Wright thing.

What Obama's vetting process does is make sure they're prepared if some skeletons come out of the closet. Everybody's got some, but if they're known, then when the righttards like Rush and Hannity bring them up, Obama's team can have a good response ready. It ensures that if there are any financial conflicts of interest, they can be resolved before the candidate takes office - by having the candidate sell questionable assets, or resign from a board, or rearrange these matters so they no longer provide a conflict of interest. Helps to keep the person honest if those conflicts are take care of before the person starts the job.

12. it's not about "skeletons." it's about conflicts of interest
and if there are potential conflicts, you resolve them.

they arent necessarily deal breakers.

if the clintons cannot clean up any questions about bill and his financial affiliations, it will be pretty pathetic.

the clintons will likely be able to clear up such questions, and bill will need a big dose of self-control.
