13. I think Arianna is great |
|
since coming over from the dark side some years ago.
She's very intelligent, highly educated and a good writer who has done much to push the progressive movement forward over the past few years.
And I love her Greek accent.

Maher, on our wonderful intermission between now and Obama's "real" days.

8. I love what he said about the Clintons, because it's true. |
|
It is the MSM and everyone else who is creating the drama. The Clintons are the most serious policy wonks this country has, and essentially boring. He's 100% right.

16. They are policy wonks, but they are NOT boring. |
|
They provide so much fodder for tabloid journalists and comedians - Monica Lewinsky, vast rightwing conspiracy, Paula Jones, "the meaning of is," Bill going rogue during the primaries, Bill unable to say Obama's name, Hill's assassination gaffe, Hill's embarrassing lie about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia, Hill's jaw-dropping non-concession concession speech when Obama clinched the nomination, and so on.
Before there was Palin, there were the Clintons.

21. I admire/ respect her but she is TERRIBLE on camera |
|
eyes glued to the TelePrompter, speaking very slowly, heavily accented, monotone speech. If Arianna is serious about broadcast journalism, I'd advise her to work on accent reduction with a speech therapist-- this is what hundreds of aspiring broadcasters, performers have done. It is quite common, in fact.

23. I remember very well when Arianna was a big Republican |

hostess, holding soirees for Newt Gingrich and the like. So she has seen the light, but maybe she just has the ability to square circles.

24. Zsa Zsa Gabor with a brain |
|
She is not camera friendly as the host and would need some work to lead a TV show. As a guest she is better as a blogger she is great. It was painful to watch her in the clip I saw and Bill Mahar was kind to her.
