What bothers me about Hillary as SOS
It's not that she isn't qualified. I believe she is qualified. However, my concern is with Bill Clinton, CGI, and his relationships around the world (some more concerning than others). Hillary would be privy to the private deliberations of the President. If Obama and Hillary discuss issues, for example, concerning trade, for instance the CFTA, and if he tells her something that is not pubic info, then she happens to mention it to Bill over pancakes, then what? Bill may forget about it but three weeks later remember but not know how he knows the information, and while golfing with the President of Columbia, might say something which reflects the administration's feelings.

Also, if people hear Bill talking while he's giving a speech overseas, they may unnecessarily take it to mean that is also the position of Hillary and Obama. His status as a former President puts him in a strange situation. People listen to him because they know he has inside information. With Hillary as SOS, they will believe he has better than inside information.

But if not for Bill, I would love Hillary at SOS even though she is way more hawkish than I prefer. She is smart and tough. I believe she would be able to follow Obama's instructions.

But Bill...

7. Let's start with absurd memes about the Clintons, like yours.
And grow as a unified party, instead of being small little bitter patty people, and re-fighting the primaries over and over and over and over and over and over!

3. Obama has chosen Clinton to be his SOS?
Well, blow me down. And here I thought this was just rampant, unsubstantiated speculation in some of the media and on countless blogs and websites.

6. If she is chosen, she will do her job. But can she and her husband be trusted?

That's the question of the hour. I think they can't.

8. Early in the primaries, I thought she was inevitable
as a lot of people did. But I was dismayed by that, because I've never felt she was totally trustworthy. My opinion, I'm allowed to have it.

That opinion hasn't changed. If anything the primaries just confirmed it six ways to Sunday. And Bill's behavior was just beyond the pale.

I have no idea why anyone thinks Obama would want to work so closely with the Clintons. There's a team of rivals and there's "what are you, crazy?"

Also, I'll add this: no one has EVER confirmed that she's been offered the job. And I really don't think she has been offered it. She and her people probably want people to think she's been offered it so she can be seen as turning it down, thus turning Obama down.

He's probably all "whatever, save face, I don't care." But I doubt he cares for all this fucking drama. Anytime her name comes up in the news it's here we go AGAIN.
