Here's a rundown. Most capable. Clinton. Gay, GOP
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 01:11 AM by PretzelWarrior
I want Obama to pick the most capable people for high level positions including cabinet members

Hillary would seem to qualify as one of those most qualified. We'll have to see what he says.

A gay person may be most qualified for one of the senior positions. Will have to see.

An Arab person may be most qualified for one of those. Someone in a wheel chair might be. Some white dude might be. Some Asian lady might be. Some moderate Republican might be.

Who is most capable? The person who knows that best is Obama. Because he has to find high level staff and advisors who help fill in the gaps that he recognizes in himself. He needs diversity of thought to get a full hearing on an issue.

People out in the hinterlands who act like they're going to revolt if this person IS picked or that person ISN'T picked are being a little harsh on Obama. It's his gig. You voted for him, and I'm sure he knows the challenges ahead.

2. I think she was one of the most politically involved first ladies
since Elanor Roosevelt. She is a policy person. She knows her facts. Just watch some of the debates. She has a rapport with a number of world leaders. She has learned legislative skills.

I guess I'd say "Who do you think is more qualified than her and why?" If you think someone is more qualified is it due to ideology? Is it due to her personality and Clinton image as divisive character?
