So Harry Reid and the Senate Dems are set to Capitulate to Lieberman |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 06:22 AM by IWantAnyDem
HEckuva Job, Joey.
:eyes:
Can you beleive these spineless idiots? Seriously, if there is any idiot more reviled in this country than Bush or Cheney, it would be Joey the back-stabber.
They should man up and call this fool's bluff. If he bolts, no loss.

3. no I don't. I heard Senator Leahy last week on VPR and |
|
he made it quite clear that he was voting against Lieberman retaining his chairmanship. Same with Bernie.

|
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 06:28 AM by IWantAnyDem
OOPS, you don't know because it's a secret ballot. For all you know,. Leahy is lying.
Sanders gets nno vote in the matter.
So yes, I will hold Leahy as accountable as I hold Bayh.
The entire Caucus is tarred with this crap if he keeps that gavel.
But heck, Leahy can go rogue in 2010. HE may get Majority Leader if he backs nothing but REpugs next election.

6. Yep, and the Dems are being STOOOOPID. |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 06:31 AM by IWantAnyDem
The only people more stupid are those who continue rewarding the Democrats for this sort of behavior.
So the DSCC will continue raising big money and spreading it around fools who give traitors gavels while good possible winners are left wanting in 2010.
And we'll all wonder why Lieberman attacked Obama constantly for four years straight and the Dems let him get away with it.

9. I know Sanders isn't a democrat, but if he caucuses with the dems |
|
doesn't that make him part of the Democratic caucus and therefore eligible to vote?

Sanders can't get a vote in this because he is an independent, but Joe can chair a committee? They really need to shitcan this piece of filth.

7. I am also concerned they will capitulate to Lieberman |
|
He is not a Democrat and never was. If it was legal, I'd advocate hanging him in public like back in the old days. The guy is nothing but a neocon. The D's are going to look pretty foolish if they let him off the hook.

12. Loserman was never a neocon. He is actually quite liberal on social positions but his foreign policy |
|
sucks. I should know, he has been my Senator since I was 12. If he goes to the Rethugs they will be stuck with a socially liberal/fp conservative just like us. He just does not fit in well in either party and is a backstabbing ahole. He cares more about Israel then the United States. So I would kick him out, let the Rethugs deal with him.

22. Yeah, he's liberal on many issues... |
|
but the back-stabbing of Obama and his preference for Israel over the USA pushes it just a little too much over-the-line for my tastes. Let him continue to caucus with the Dems, but don't even let him be a subcommittee co-chair on the most menial of subcommittees.

they got to cover each others back side for all of the corrupt money making dealing they have going on.
The way I see it, the majority of them are partners in crime.

11. I don't know what people here expect to happen to LIEberman |
|
The guy was 100% wrong on McCain and 100% wrong on the war. Even with those massive strikes against him, I don't see how antagonizing him or seeking revenge somehow helps the country or the Democratic party. The only people that can kick him to the curb are the voters of Connecticut in a couple of years.

just because Obama wants to reach over the aisle to the GOP for working together it doesn't mean to say that he employs a turn-coat snake.
