What is with all the Obama bashing around here..? |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 08:37 AM by S_E_Fudd
Oh sure it is diguised as Hillary criticism.
But if Hillary really is as bad a pick for SoS as it appears some believe (assuming she is the choice), they must have a very very low opinion of Obama's decision making skills...or think he has just another tired pol selling out to the Clinton/DLC wing of the party...
Too bad, I think Obama is doing a nice job on the transition so far

Maybe if we all just alert when these posters stir the pot then someone will make them stop.
They aren't really Obama supporters or Hillary supporters. They are just rabble rousers who hated one or the other and can't or won't let it go.
I'm just trying to ignore them all so I don't end up banned...LOL.

2. You see, once again, now that the election is over |
|
Bill and Hillary have no place in the Democratic Party. They are evil DLC'ers that eat babies. In fact the DOJ has completely buried a film of the Clinton's actually eating a newborn baby. But because the Clintons are so close with Bush, that tape has not seen the light of day now for over 16 years.

14. Nothing wrong with that. Every good Dem has eaten a baby or two in their lifetime. |
|
I mean... what choice do we have? Its right in the ultra-top-secret Democrat Rule scroll. Paragraph 147 sec. c-2 - The mandatory baby eating clause.

5. I don't get it either -- why vote for someone whose opinion you doubt so much? |
|
Obama wasn't my first choice at all, but I voted for him for President, and urged others to do the same. If I thought he was either: stupid, easily manipulated, tied to a Cronyism position, etc., I NEVER would have voted for him, even with Palin in the mix.
So, why can't Day One Obama supporters give him as much support and respect as I do?
And, as everyone knows, I do NOT want HRC as SOS, although I think she would do a fine job if allowed to by the Media. But, if PE Obama does think she is the one he wants, then we should all wait and see.

I think some people are shocked that he isn't setting up a Liberal Paradise. (which would be foolish, right out of the gate)
Other's are shocked that he is borrowing so heavily from the Clinton pool (which any Democrat would be doing)
Deep down I think many have lost their faith in Obama. (which reflects on how little they know about politics)
He's doing fine.

35. Faith? What the hell does faith have to do with it? |
|
I do not hold 'faith' in politicians. It was never there to become lost, because having faith in a politician is downright stupid in my book. Childish, serf like and Bushian. Any politician who asks for or expects 'faith' from voters is far out of line. If they earn it, they may gain my trust. That trust can also be lost. Earned trust is what a politician should ask for and what they should seek to deserve. Faith in politicians is only for the servile.

I disagree she is and am not bashing Obama for that. Just stating my opinion. Or are you thinking I should not just because it is about her.
I did not see the same people who are protesting here protesting when people were stating their reason against Kerry or Richardson at State, last week, before the Hillary story was leaked (by whoever leaked it). Some were just as freeperish as some reasons I have seen posted for Hillary. May be this is where the hypocrisy lies.

I meant hypocrisy of former HRC bashers who potentially find the choice acceptable (if and) because Pres-elect Obama says so. Don't know if that includes you.
Thankfully, I see BOTH of them as able to rise above that type of self-limiting attitude. Seems like Kerry and Richardson could and would also. We surely need a SOS who can....

19. Some people will always see the glass as half empty |
|
Obama is brilliant to me. He does not let petty fights during a campaign bother him, it all fall off his back. He even met with McLame! He is picking experienced people to help him in the transition. Anyone remember Bill Clinton's transition? I was 17 and still remember what it was like, lots of problems because he hired a bunch of Arkansas friends. Bush hired a bunch of Texas cronies. Experience matters and Obama knows this. Sheesh. And the Hillary thing. She was never my favorite person but I have come to respect her after she campaigned and raised money for Barack. I defend her on here and get accused of being a Hillary supporter when I voted for Obama in the primaries. I don't know. Obama never said he would be ultra left wing. He is not Dennis Kucinich so why are some people expecting that? He has always been slightly to the left of Bill Clinton. He never pretended to be anything other then that. And his change message is this, stop the fighting and blaming, and work with people. Is what he is doing different then what he said? For God Sakes, no more Shrub and a Dem is in the White House. I am STILL celebrating. I need a drink. Or several.

Feelings that PE Obama may just be "another politician" might be creeping into the back of their minds. I'm not saying those feelings are correct. Considering the track record of both political parties I can't say I don't understand it.

She did a lot more than anyone had a right to expect for the Obama ticket and probably pulled in a few extra states as a result. Besides, after the rabid, quasi-religious devotion I have seen for Obama on this website and in the real world, it is a bit disturbing to see so many saying he has somehow lost his mind. Obama is the guy you and ultimately the country picked. Some of us warned you that he was not a knee-jerk liberal. Did you pick him to run the actual United States or just be your radical rubber-stamp?
I voted for Obama because he sounded sane and rational, not because he agreed with me on everything. So far, I have not been disappointed. I cannot point to a single thing Obama has done wrong so far.
