No one is running against Reid. The grassroots have no say over this at all. Period. And they never will. No Senator is ever going to be voted out over who they voted for for leadership positions.

Let's see -- a majority of the caucus just went along with allowing lieberman to keep his chairmanship, but you think that a majority can be pressured to oust Harry Reid. How? By threatening not to vote for the Democrats that supported Lieberman? Which ones supported him? Do you have a list? To not support any Democrat that won't try to oust Reid? Well, there are only 16 Democrats up for re-election in 2010, so that's hardly going to carry the day even if you could persuade every one of them that they're at risk if they don't go after Reid. If Feingold doesn't speak up against Reid, you going to contribute to his defeat?
