I know some DUers are getting pissed at me for defending this, but its about the Democrats seeing the big picture.

I wanted Lieberman GONE! I would have celebrated his having his ass handed to him, but its not about payback for Obama and the party he now controls, its about moving this country.

Blame Reid and the other Senate Dems all you want but this happened with Obama's blessing and maybe his encouragement.

Throughout the campaign many of us, including those who supported him, second guessed him many times but I think he knows what he is doing.

Durbin and Kerry loathe Lieberman. If Obama put them in this position he had to have a bigger reason for needing Lieberman. I want to know what that reason is.

Kerry wouldn't have done this without Obama NEEDING him to do it. Kerry has too much personally and professionally invested in Obama, imo, and if this was something Obama needed it, well, I hope like hell it's for a GREAT reason like an agreement on Supreme Court or Universal Healthcare.
