NO MORAL HAZARD.

In other words, no accountability. And that, my fellow prisoners, is what is really wrong with our country in a nutshell.

Moral hazard means a responsibility to do the right thing, not just because it is the right thing, but because there will also be a punishment if I do the wrong thing. Moral hazard and Accountability is the glue that makes civilization possible.

THAT's why I wanted Lieberman punished and Bush and Cheney to answer for their actions and people who ignore subpoenas to be sitting in a holding cell - not revenge but justice.

1. This is the number one political issue for me
Are we a country of laws or men?

Apparently a country of men, because, if you're president, you can break laws with impunity, just like european royalty did back in the day.

Laws are only applicable to us little people. Powerful people have their own private justice system.

2. Me too. It is the common thread in all the largest issues of our day.
Some people threw out morality, the Rule of Law, our Constitution, international treaties, fiduciary responsibilities, and they have done it successfully with absolutely no retribution, punishment, sanction, or justice applied.

The game gets very iffy once there are no rules.
