I understand wanting to be the chair of the Homeland Security Committee. What else does he gain by being in the caucus when he fits better with republicans? None could trust him now (yes, Reid says he trusts him but nobody believes that stupid statement).

3. you don't understand why he'd prefer being in the majority?
not to mention that much as I detest Lieberman and wish he would just go away, he votes with the dems 90% of the time.

12. With all but a few despising him, it's hard to see how he can want that kind of life.

4. Because the GOP really don't like Lieberman and they have nothing to offer him now
The GOP only liked using Lieberman as a mole in the Dem Caucus for them. During the general election campaign Dick Cheney went in and out of Lieberman's office. Wonder what they were talking about?

9. To fuck 'em royally, to fuck 'em over, to mess with their minds, to torpedo initiatives, to screw
them over, to talk them into giving Israel everything Israel wants and supporting every Israeli action, these just for starters. :P

11. Yeah, it does seem like his bestest buddies are...
on the other side of the aisle. Honestly, I thought Lindsey Graham and John McCain had all become surgically attached to him in recent months. I look forward to the day when Joe the Liarman will be sitting at home writing books or working for Blackwater.

For four years of the war in Iraq.

Joe ran, instead, for the Dem nom in 04.

20. Thats just it. I don't think Liebs fits real well with either caucus.
He votes with the Democrats a lot on domestic issues & the Republicans on foreign policy (particularly
when it involves the middle east, Israel, and such. I think we here at DU make a lot more of this guy than he's worth. He's a joke. We've had people in our party that are a hell of a lot more conservative
than Joe. We still do. We need to limit our Lieb rants to about one a week. Connecticut will take care of
him in time. Let them.

22. Couldn't get elected as a Repug from CT. It took Repugs plus a few Dems
to get him this job. Repugs alone couldn't pull it off. And then who would represent AIPAC?
