Holder has long opposed the death penalty
During his confirmation hearing, Holder's opposition to the death penalty was questioned, but he pledged his intention to cooperate with the current laws and Attorney General Janet Reno, saying, "I am not a proponent of the death penalty, but I will enforce the law as this Congress gives it to us."

1. Ever noticed how when someone posts something good about our folks no one responds
but if it is something viewed as negative, it makes the greatest page.

6. I think I read that thread..
wasn't that from 1996? Not that it makes any difference. I'm sure 12 years doesn't change anyone's opinion..or at least it's not supposed to.

7. '97 I think.
And if his views have changed, I'll be happy to hear it. I'm just tired of the utter stupidity of the War on Drugs, which continues unabated and unsuccessfully through both (R) and (D) administrations.

9. we just voted in this election..
to de-criminalize mary jane..I hope other states take the same route. It is criminal that drug users/sellers spend more time in jail than murderers, but that's justice for you.

10. That's a nice plus
Since Obama ran on a platform accepting of the DP. Means he doesn't really support it that much.
