1. Swear to God, DUers will happily bitch about anything.
"But...he disagreed with me on one issue over fifteen years ago! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN OBAMA!"

Sounds like a solid pick to me.

5. He's the new law in town--from what I gather
he's good. My general impression from what I've read about him is good. I think he's a positive choice.

7. I for one am thrilled by this.
The way people are howling around here you'd think the new sheriff in town was Torquemada or something.

8. Um that's what alot of folks said about Clarance Thomas, and Condi Rice.
Having the first black in the office is fine. Having a qualified one is better, But having a lousy one is downright harmfull. And from what I'm gathering so far I think this one will be the later

I hope you are not basing your conclusions on message boards.

Check out Holder's political philosophy on his opposition to the death penalty, torture, rendition, and Gitmo for starters.

It's funny that all this freaking out didn't occur when he headed the pick for the VP. A good job he did well.

And btw, invoking Thomas, and Rice in this context is just plain whacko. NO democrat was ever a supporter of those crazies.

15. Exactly
And if they worked in the Clinton administration, they know the ropes! And that will protect Obama from the "inexperienced" argument.
