Good cop bad cop and too many are too blind to see it |
|
Hillary as SoS has good cop bad cop written all over it. Too many here forget its the president that sets the policy not the cabinet. Hillary has the advantage of past relationships with many world leaders but she cant start a war Obama doesn't want to get into. You kid yourself if you think otherwise.
She can be the hawk to his dove she can go in guns blazing and he can take the frantic call and smooth the feathers. They will make a brilliant team on the world stage. Sad that so many are blind to the potential.

Just remember Obama is the big dog now. No matter what Hillary wants to do on the world stage she serves at the pleasure of the president.

bit beyond "bad cop". So far that it's just batshit stupid to suggest it.
And please describe to me in detail the oh-so-strong-and-steadfast-and-deep relationships with all of these foreign leaders that the spouse of the President formed please? I somehow missed that headline.
EDIT: Forgot to finish the sentence - hahaha!
EDITEDIT: And the only way Obama is a dove is if you mean he does threaten the lives of millions upon millions of innocents.

6. so you discount the relationships she formed with the leaders of the world |
|
While Bill was in office? And has maintained since he was out? Its as much Bills relationships as hers. Do you deny his as well?
I realize you arent a big fan Boo for that matter neither am i but there is a lot of work to be done and we don't have time for getting to know you dances. We need to hit the ground running and the hilbill show is ready to do that more so probably than anyone on the planet. Weather or not you want to admoit it or are even aware of it Bill is and remains a rock star on the world stage and by extension so does hillary. We need that kind of instant gravitas even if they don't share all of Obamas viewpoints.
The cabinet serves at the pleasure of the president. If she cant keep to Obamas agenda her tenure wont be long as SOS. However Obama seems to have quite a knack of bringing people to his viewpoint.
Let the primaries go. We won. Our guy is running the show now. Trust him.

|
of the President formed with foreign leaders. Why won't you tell me? I'd be FASCINATED to know the details of the deep and strong bonds.
Why on earth are you talking about BILL'S relationships? HE'S not going to be SoS, is he? That can't POSSIBLY be what you mean.

EDIT: I mean seriously - are you SURE you're an *advocate* for Clinton (or ClintonS, I suppose) for SoS? I mean really. I'm starting to suspect that you're a mole for the anti-Clinton people, trying (badly) to pass yourself off as a Clinton supporter.

We are not the only ones who has leadership changes you know.
In fact, other than the dictators, I can't think of one that is still in place since the Clintons left office.
Can you?

4. I can see a lot of avenues |
|
and reasons he might have made this decision, if he has. It might have more to do with controlling Bill than anything. Regardless, he hasn't made any mistakes yet and it's still got to be better than McCain would have been. Some people need to make Palin their screensaver with the instructions "Before Typing, Imagine This Traveling The World".

7. I like the screensaver idea |
|
I think people forget how popular Bill is on the world stage. As long as they dont go rogue on obama (and if they do i have no doubt he will have little patience for it) There is a lot of reserve goodwill there waiting to be tapped. I despise a lot of Hillary's policy decisions but i can still see past them to the benefits of their continued esteem in the eyes of many world leaders. Putting that good will to work is brilliant.

18. I'd rather not have a schizophrenic foreign policy. |

I'd rather our SOS present a foreign policy that is in line with Obama's positions, rather than a contradictory one. I see no point in needlessly ruffling feathers. It's a waste of time and frankly dangerous.
