We all have the right to post our opinions here- within the rules. But we have no right to expect that others will agree with us. If you can't handle being challenged, why are you posting here? If I were to follow you around and constantly tell you to STFU, then yeah, I might be trying to shut you down. Saying it once to a post or OP you find offensive is speaking your mind, voicing your opinion. If on the other hand you find you are told to STFU, that you are a whiner, or if someone is always calling the waaaambulance for you, you might take a clue card.

I'm finding it personally challenging and maybe even enlightening and an exercise in self control to cruise right past those posts, and even DUers I find horribly annoying, without so much as a comment. I don't put people on ignore anymore, but I do hide threads.

DU should be considered the "big kids' table" at life's Thanksgiving feast. No whining about Johnny having more cranberries than you, or that Suzy has one more roll... and no food throwing.
