None of you would've predicted what Obama has done so far

and he's not even sworn in yet

You almost got me going... I was getting cranky again (and even scared).

Now I'm taking my joy back and here's why.

I've been chewing on this since 2000... chatting with people from across the political spectrum, in my community and online.

If you want to restore the Bill of Rights, I know conservatives that would agree with you.

If you think the invasion of Iraq was sheer madness, I know conservatives that would agree with you.

If you think NAFTA, CAFTA and aspects of our WTO agreements are heinous, I know conservatives that would agree with you.

If you believe that Internet Neutrality is critical to preserve, and that mega media consolidation needs to be reversed, I know conservatives that would agree with you.

If you believe the American People should have more influence on government policy and legislation, than Corporate Transnationals and Foreign Governments, I know conservatives that would agree with you.

I even had my own (blue collar guy, so cut me some slack) idea for an organization, "Americans for the Restoration of Representative Government."

ARRG - Thank Charlie Brown for that one... pretty cute, eh? Hey, I was housebound and sick... it doesn't say "genius" on my resume' (unlike all ya'all).

Talking to folks, I decided that by shelving our differences, and finding our shared interests, a broad based coalition could be formed, sufficient to wrest back control of our country. THAT, was the idea.

I still like that idea. This is how we fight back the "Divide and Conquer" on steroids, strategy, that the status quo have employed against us.

In a few short days, Obama has dazzled EVERYONE, even his supporters.

I want to say this... nice and clear, if anyone is still reading...

OBAMA'S POLICIES AND ACTIONS WILL BE INFORMED BY HIS LIFE AND PRIMARY MORALITY....

HIS HEART, IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED.

He is dealing with the most powerful, monied, deeply entrenched, MF's in history. Medieval Medici got NOTHIN' on these cats.

I know a few things about Poker. We ARE DAMN LUCKY HE IS ON OUR SIDE.

I've never seen anyone like him.

Old HRC will do a fine job. Holy Joe won't filibuster with the Republicans as often. Obama will identify every lick of legislation he can get past without a knock down drag out fight and GET IT DONE.

Then he'll do everything he conceivably can, to fight for what's right.

It is our job to help him.

1. I'll take that Job!
And shove it up the asses of anyone who tries to stop Obama from doing what we elected him to do.

2. Yes, I am encouraged - by reading what I want to see in it.
I hope that it works out, and plays well, and has the results he is hoping for.

I think he is wise beyond his years and of the years of the many that criticize the superficial aspects of his decisions.

It is VERY easy to see the flaws; it is not so easy to understand what he is trying to do.

The muckrackers look for the problems, and sometimes don't see the wood for the trees.

6. I'm still optimistic, but a bit cautious . . .
I hope Obama lives up to our expectations, but I'm less than encouraged by some of the appointments that are being discussed . . . an Attorney General who believes that marijuana is "devil weed," for example . . . I am encouraged that he's taking a stand on climate change, though . . .

bottom line, Obama has one hell of a mess to clean up after BushCo . . . how he goes about it will determine his legacy -- and his chances for re-election next time around . . . I wish him well . . .

7. You know
some people are just used to business as usual, hence the questionable
approach toward Obamas dealings.

So far I have not seen anything that would make me distrust him nor
disagree with him, every move or decision he has made has been done
with PRECISION.

Lets keep praying for him...

PEACE!!!

On a side note, our job is to look out for those that will disrupt,
distract and distort his message/motives.
