ATTN people who don't like Obama's pick for A.G., Eric Holder
Edited on Wed Nov-19-08 12:15 PM by Botany
Remember that Obama finished at the top of his class at Harvard Law and taught constitutional
law @ the Univeristy of Chicago and when it comes to picking a lawyer he is smarter than
you or me by a factor of 100. I wanted Artur Davis of Alabama and even filled in the e-mail
to the Obama team but he picked Holder instead :grr:   The nerve of the man!

So lighten up. The Holidays are coming!

From the Star's wire services
WASHINGTON–Washington lawyer Eric Holder is U.S. President-elect Barack Obama's top choice to
be the next attorney general and aides have gone so far as to ask senators whether he would be
confirmed, an Obama official said yesterday.

Holder, 57, a former U.S. attorney who served as the No. 2 official in the Justice Department under
president Bill Clinton, would be the nation's first black attorney general.

An Obama official and two Democrats in touch with the transition team confirmed Holder is Obama's
top choice.

15. I nearly had a seizure seeing that pix. Besides everything else, the aspic molds hanging
on the wall.

The 50's, shoving women back into a tiny box and expecting them to gift wrap it themselves.

2. I'd just like to see some appointments
who aren't linked to the Clinton administration.

I have no problem with Holder, or Emmanuel, or even HRC... but I'd really like to see some appointees who aren't tied to the past administration.

Change, and all that...

4. I agree but the problems are so big and so bad i think Obama needs
people who can get to work from day one.

5. Sometimes it takes people who have had experience
to see what did not work and change to something that would work.

Newbies without experience may not know what does not work.

13. That's right...
Everybody makes mistakes. I'd rather have people who already made them and have learned from it.

11. The change is....
WHAT they do...not WHO does it. Obama repeatedly laid out his plan of change. Now he is choosing the people who he feels can best help him execute his plans.

To imply that Obama is so weak that these people will just run over him with their own agenda is just plain silly. We are in such a habit of being suspicious and expecting the worst that some of us just can't stop.

3. I have nothing to say regarding your post, but
there's a lot going on in that kitchen, isn't there? Talk about going all the way decorating for the holidays! Even a wreath hanging in the kitchen window! And the convenience and luxury of having a monaural record player right there in the room while you cook!

Man, those were the days!

6. I love the fact that the record player is in front of the stove.
No chance for a problem there.

12. That looks exactly like my great grandparents' kitchen. I mean
EXACTLY - down to the green floors, white appliances and red brick trim. It's even facing the same way and has a window over the sink in exactly the same spot!

Geez! I'm all nostalic now!
