So the forgery claims are "debunked" |
|
Will this do us any more good than the SBVT claims being "debunked"?

2. Well it does show a trend among the Repukes... |
|
That they are desperate, afraid, and willing to go to ANY lengths to invigorate their shallow and outnumbered base! They are not even attempting to reach new voters this time around, simply preaching to the choir in hand-picked campaign stops! It is this reason alone I KNOW these new polls are bullshit...HOW can Bush be gaining new voters beyond the ones he already had?!! Name ONE Kerry voter who suddenly decided that Bush was the ticket?! But with every exposed fraud and lies coming from these Pukes, I can name at least ten Republicans I personally know who now are voting for Kerry, for the sole reason the Swiftvets were exposed as frauds and tried to dishonor a war hero for political gain!!

3. The point is, "debunking" doesn't work |
|
because the pricks just keep repeating the lies, and the media keeps validating them for the purpose of providing their game show audience with an exciting "debate".

4. The alternative is to let the lies stand as "fact" |
|
In the end, even the election is not as important as journalistic integrity. Without that, we are truly lost.
We can't let lies masquerading as reporting go unchallenged. While Kerry is busy campaigning, I am happy to write letters thanking journalists who do a good job, and letters rebuking those who do a lousy job. And yes, typing posts that debunk lies on this board.
There's plenty of work for all of us.

7. deunking works as long as we follow through and keep pounding that message |
|
in. in another lifetime when the media was a real media, it would have been enough to just PROVE them wrong. now, it is a matter of making sure they cannot get up from it--right or wrong. as long as they are yapping away, we need to do the same. they cannot get the last word in. they will stop when they see their numbers go down because of THEIR yapping--not ours.

5. What's missing in this argument... |
|
... and has been from the start, is that the memos in themselves are only back-up to officially issued records which are now in the public record--several official documents, which have not been challenged, indicate that Bush was not rated because he wasn't observed at the unit.
The Bushies have made excuses, but there's still been no explanation for Bush's disobeyal of a direct order, and that order in August, 1972, has never been challenged by the White House (that's the one on which James Bast is also removed from flying status).
There's also another document which has never been challenged, that Bush signed in Nov. 1969, guaranteeing that he would continue to fly for the Air National Guard for five years from the date of signing. This agreement he violated.
He violated regulations, direct orders and yet points to a discharge from the TX ANG which may actually have been simply to facilitate his permanent move to another state (no one has yet been able to identify the code under which the discharge was authorized, or has come forward to explain it).
And, thus far, there's been no explanation why the Air Reserve Personnel Center in Denver retroactively placed him on inactive status two weeks prior to his discharge, since his military service obligation had not yet expired. (One person, Paul Lukasiak, thinks this might be because Sept. 15 is the annual reporting date to local selective service boards on the status of guard members, and they reported that Bush was missing).
No matter, the documents that the Bushies have released themselves or have been previously released via FOIA are damning.

8. What YOU said, Punpirate!!! |
|
Pointing out the obvious:
"the memos in themselves are only back-up to officially issued records which are now in the public record--several official documents, which have not been challenged, indicate that Bush was not rated because he wasn't observed at the unit."
Add an ad from Texans for Truth...
Please somebody 'splain to me what an old typewriter has to do with the FACT that the *dauphin was a NO-SHOW for military service?

6. Yes. This is completely different. |
|
They were called out on their lies in a larger forum and more people witnessed it.
Plus it's a tangible physical proof. Not he said he said.
We won this round. No doubt about it.
But the battle isn't over.
They fight dirty.
But at least we are now hitting back.
