Anybody else concerned about the Bush twins showing Obama's girls around? |

1. I bet you a hundred that Obama's kids could not be influenced by the Bushies |
|
Call it a hunch, but I'm willing to put money on it, so it's a very strong hunch :)

4. No. If Michelle isn't I sure am not. |
|
I'm sure the older girls were very helpful and gracious to the Obama girls. And it sure beats an impersonal tour.
I'm sure Laura offered out of graciousness and/or protocol and Michelle agreed it was a wonderful idea.

9. The Bush girls have grown up. |

They didn't choose their parents and haven't had an easy time of it. Give them a break.

Jenna especially has matured quite a bit.
I don't hate either of them. People can't choose their parents.

12. They were partying college kids -- I have little beef with them |
|
They didn't want the limelight, even begged their father not to chase it. He ignored them.
I sure wouldn't have wanted my college and just-post-college antics spread all over the enews.
:scared:
I actually think it's kinda sweet.

13. They are grown up women, and even at their "friskiest" |
|
they were just two young girls/women out to have some fun, and just happened to have photographers following them around 24-7..
They did not choose their parents, and are probably pretty nice people:)
Can you IMAGINE having *² as a DAD??? :puke:
remember when jenna had that emergency appendectomy...Dad went fishing.. Even if it was "not" an appendectomy, when your kid's in the hospital you cancel the damned fishing trip

From all appearances the Bush "girls" have left their college days far behind.
Honestly, unless someone has irrefutable proof that the girls' current jobs are shams I'd have to say that they're making more of a positive contribution to society than their father did.

The Bush girls are grown up now. Being a child of the President is a pretty small club to belong to. I bet the Obama girls will feel reassured having someone show them around who can relate at least a little bit.
