I consider myself to be a progressive liberal/liberal progressive....
to me those labels are interchangeable. Stack Obama up against McCain and the Palin contingency and you cannot see anything but a liberal progressive/progressive liberal. To me those labels mean someone who respects the rule of law and civil rights. Someone who has the interests of the greater portion of the population at heart. Someone who shares the concerns of the common man and uses common sense in governance. I do not believe that Obama is ignoring progressives/liberals. The reality of the current state of domestic and international affairs means that he needs to get an administration that can hit the ground running. Period. He ( and we)do not have time to waste quibbling over labels. The proof will be in the development and implementation of policies...and he hasn't even taken the oath of office yet. I trust this man to uphold the Constitution and observe human and civil rights. I trust him to demand the best of the people who he selects around a common purpose.

We have a two year window to demonstrate good governance. Now let's see if we can screw it up.
