No "bones" for progressives?
Committing to climate change action and to engaging with the world on this critical problem.

Committing to shutting down Gitmo.

Committing to a zero tolerance for torture.

Tom Daschle. I really wanted Howard Dean, but Tom Daschle is a good choice. He's committed to moving fast and decisively on passing healthcare reform and covering all Americans. No, it's not going to be single payer, but the only way to get single payer in this country is by expanding the public health programs in place.

Committed to FOCA.

But hey, Samantha Power won't be SoS, Russ Feingold won't be AG, so that's proof that Obama is screwing progressives.

1. Out of Iraq in 16 months

the problem is that we want to start our purist pout and we don't want to wait.

We want to pout first - that will show how pure and progressive we really are..

"What do we want?" "Patience"

"When do we want it?" "Now"

Senator to be named later - Al Franken

2. K&R, cali, K&R...
I consider that "bones" crap that is being thrown around to be a Republican talking point aimed at dividing Democrats.

5. I agree, but they should be things that make progressives happy
and as a progressive I like to think that common sense and human decency are key parts of being a progressive.

i think they are only signs of a civilised culture and society...
being progressive should mean to seek things beyond not hurting someone.

sure, progressives are happy about those two thing... but who in their right mind wouldnt be ?

we should be taking care of the homeless. we should be making sure kids arent hungry. we should be making sure everyone has a roof over their head. we should be making sure than people can seek education without financial fears or worry.

there are so many things left to be done, going back to the status quo of civility is just the start...
as i say, any sane person would be happy with that.
