What is CNN talking about? Reid creating a new position for Hillary?
Trying to honor her 18 mill votes. Is there a link to a story about this? They were talking about it on Campbell Brown.

What kind of position could he offer? Asst Majority Leader? lol

1. They did this in ths '70s for Hubert Humphrey
After he lost the presidency in '68, he returned to the Senate in 1970.

To honor his service as VP, they created the new post of "Deputy President Pro Tempore," reserved for any Senator who had previously served as Vice President or President.

I knew about the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. Is the Deputy President Pro Tempore an honorary post?

7. I frankly am just sick of the Clinton's.
I would like to put them back in Ak along with the Bush's in Tx. I am sorry lovers of Clinton's and Bush's but they have had their day so please give us a brake. And I even know people who voted for McCain because she did not get the nod. They also say they are Dem.

13. I don't think this will happen. I think she will take the SoS job over that
whatever it is they are offering her. The problem is the Senate Seniority system. Hillary has been a main player on health care all these years but gets no committee chair to deal with it. So they need to create some other post of power. Problem is it looks ridiculous. I think she realizes her options are limited in the Senate and will take the SoS job.

14. Most of those "18 million" voted for Obama, the others are PUMAs or Operation Chaos.
Erecting a commemorative shrine might be a bit over-the-top.
