No one is demanding that you should agree with every appointment Obama makes... |
|
...but at this point, you should feel pretty confident that the guy knows what the fuck he's doing. He didn't come out of nowhere to beat a powerful former first lady and a media-friendly war hero by being stupid or surrounding himself with a bunch of chumps.

6. that's idiotic. Daschle was handed a very bad hand of cards |
|
his majority was razor thin and he had to make unpopular stand after unpopular stand until it cost him his job. Why can't you bozos get that?

2. I think people's expectations are way to fucking high, they are setting themselves up for... |
|
disappointment. Obama may turn out to be a relatively decent president, or not, I have few expectations myself, and I haven't really involved myself in any heated discussion about any appointments he is going to make in his cabinet.
All I know is that he's not going to fuck this country up as much as McCain would have, that's why I voted for Obama in the first place, so that the country won't be as fucked up as it was during the Bush administration. Other than that, I don't expect much.

I do think he knows what he's doing. Like Grantcart said in another post, it's 3-dimensional chess vs checkers. We elected a political genius with a true, good heart.

8. Someone here called him very, very naive |
|
This naive man beat the Clintons and the Repub. machine. He ran a campaign so well organized that Repubs even say it will be studied for years to come. He changed the electoral map getting states that Dems haven't won since 1964. Yet, he's considered naive by people on this board because a couple of his cabinet choices don't line up totally with their ideology.
I am truly amazed at the amount of panic on this board by people who claim to be the well informed.
Folks read The Huffington Post and Daily Kos and think they are political experts.
Amazing
