If Obama can't handle the Clintons he can't handle our world problems. |
|
Let's face it. This morning the talking heads are saying that the front page tells them that Obama simply can't refuse the Clintons. Bill has stated that he will do anything to make this SOS position happen for Hill. If Obama truly wants Hill on board he will pick her. If he feels that he can not refuse then he is not the man that we think he is. If he chooses her against his better judgment then we are in a very dangerous situation. If the Clintons are attempting to undermine the new administration then that my friends is a very serious problem. If Obama chooses Hill because he feels that she is the best person for the job then we have no problems. I know that is a lot of 'ifs' but it had to be said. In the long run Obama will make the decision and we will see if it was a good one. It is his choice. Peace, Kim

1. One hell of an assumption that he doesn't WANT Hillary. |
|
I'm sure he would be put out by the circus that the Clintons are bringing to the table, but that doesn't mean that Hillary isn't worth it in his eyes.

It's not like it's the first time I've heard it said that if he can't handle the Clintons...

2. This madness needs to end |
|
Obama should select someone else as SOS and Hillary go back to the Senate. Every other appointment has gone smoothly except this one. I think this is a sign that it is probably best not to move forward with this. This is way too much drama.

4. I believe the rumored "offer" took them completely by surprise |
|
there are so many upsides politically and internationally, to a Clinton SoS I won't even enumerate them
as someone who doesn't care for either of the Clintons, I can say with complete confidence, If Obama wants this, it's probably a good thing and I fully support it

6. What's to handle? He offered her the job...It's up to her to decide |
|
if she wants it. I guess my TV being off enables me to see through this media hype. He would have never asked her if he didn't want her.

9. I don't want to beleaguer the point of the offer with you. |
|
My point is that Obama will make this decision. He alone will do that and by doing so it will determine the outcome of his presidency. I feel that this decision alone is a pivotal one. Just my opinion.

8. I am so sick to death of this kind of crap. How many times do we |
|
have to go through this? This is nothing but a repeat of the primaries, then the VP pick, etc. etc.
Every time there's a fork in the road, we're going to have to hear about whether he can control the Clintons.
Look, this is all somebody else's agenda. The republicans have no choice but to find a way to divide and conquer like they have always done because they don't have the numbers.
Stop feeding this beast. Are we going to go through 8 years of this?

but with this entire SOS disaster playing out on the front pages, I think it is best that he chooses someone else for SOS. Way too much drama.
