Poll question: Janet Napolitano
Do you think she should be the head of the Department of Homeland Security or run against John in 2010?

3. We can't afford to lose her in AZ. If she leaves , we now have a conservative dominated legislature
and state senate and she will be succeeded by the arch consrvative SOS Jan brewer. Our life is already hell.Without her veto pen, we can put a cork in ourselves. This last election destroyed all the progress we made locally in the last 10 years.Jan Brewer would be the icing on the cake.

6. I think she's be an excellent resource for the Obama Administration but I
hear what you are saying. We need to strengthen the party, not weaken it, in Arizona. I am convinced that strong party infrastructure in every state is our ticket to success...

10. ITA
the repugs want to destroy public education in Arizona. There's a reason why Oregon is ahead of Arizona in development of solar energy -- it's the repugs and the lack of effort by our Congressional team -- Vile Kyl and McGramps. Damn. Arizona owns the freaking sun but Oregon is outpacing us?

11. Not that could win! You really know little about the condition of the AZ political scene.

This last election was a DISASTER for us. It is going to take years to make our way back and we were making such great progress.

13. Like who?
You can't just nominate any Democrat and hope to beat a tenured political icon (in Arizona) like John McCain.

JN is our only chance to beat McCain in 2010.

14. Terry Goddard is only one example
of an excellent candidate. This time he could beat McCain.

8. Being from Arizona, I am freaking out about losing her now.
She keeps our state government, that is run by RW wackos, in check.
She vetoes all their bullshit.
The person who would take her place is one of those RW wackos :(

9. I don't believe she should leave Arizona right now, in the best interests of the state.
She should finish her term as governor, allow the AZ Democrats to find a worthy replacement, and then retire Grandpa McCain.
