World leaders refuse to shake Bush’s hand during G20 photo-op.

World leaders refuse to shake Bush’s hand during G20 photo-op.

CNN’s Rick Sanchez highlighted yesterday that during last weekend’s G20 Economic Summit, leaders from around the world refused to acknowledge or shake hands with President Bush as they walked on stage for a photo-op. As Sanchez explained, everyone was “greeting each other and shaking hands, but Bush walks with his head down like the dejected most unpopular kid in high school.” Watch it:

4. This says something about Bush on two levels
The obvious is that, yes, he is the biggest jerk in the world but was also the most powerful so common courtesy had to be expected, and they had to pretend they liked him.

The second is that he also didn't attempt to initiate any handshaking either, which tells me that he expects people to come to him to initiate the honor of touching him as if it's some sort of show of submission to the alpha dog. And if true, this just feeds back into the obvious statement above about what a jerk he is.

6. He doesn't care because he doesn't like them
Some of them have "funny names"and look different than he does.

I wonder what will happen when he is introduced on Jan. 20th.

I want him to be introduced so i can say, "Goodbye" to him with my lips forming an "O" shape.

7. I hope the children see this, so they can understand that schoolyard bullies...
are rarely liked by the public...not just in this country, but worldwide.

He has taught them so many wrong things through his arrogance and conceit, it will be good for them to see him as a failure and someone they shouldn't try to emulate.

Now, Obama? That's a whole `nother story. He will be a president to look up to.

Don't ever think they aren't watching, as they are.

11. Amazing.
And they wanted Prez-Elect Obama there at that summit instead of Bush. No wonder they were pissed. I don't think I've ever seen such a complete snub of a world leader in my life. Mutual snub, actually. Look how many of them didn't even look at him, just looked past him to the leaders behind him. No president has ever been treated like that, at least not in my lifetime, that I know of. Wow.

That's because we've never had such a rotten human being running the country. He is hated around the world, for good reason.

(Edited to fix quote)

15. Not to defend Bush, but it looks like...
he never put his hand out to shake anyone's hand.

He thinks he is like a queen.... Once the Queen of England has given you one handshake, you are to bow or simply step back, not try to get any closer than the initial handshake.

Bush is just being the axxxxhole he always has been.

22. If that isn't a testament of how hated Bush is nationally and internationally, I don't know what is.
Edited on Fri Nov-21-08 05:50 AM by political_Dem
That was quite stunning to see such a public shunning like that. Usually, other world leaders suck it up and even pretend to like the President of the United States. But, in this case, Bush is simply passé, like last year's fall collection.

Wow, that was cold.
