Anyone Surprised? McCain Praises Potential Napolitano Pick
He doesn't want her running against him. lol

The Arizona Senator calls to congratulate his Democratic home state governor for being a top contender to serve as Obama's Secretary of Homeland Security.

Says her experience as Arizona's U.S. attorney, attorney general, and as governor warrants a quick confirmation if she's selected.

1. And then he doesn't have to face her as competition in 2010!
And as the result of Prop 102, AZ is effectively under complete wignut rule and set back 20 years. Good job.

2. But I thought when a Republican praises a Dem it's because that Dem shares similar views?

4. They probably do on immigration, but he recently announced
his plans to run for reelection and the polls show janet beating him in a landslide. If she doesn't run, he likeley will be unopposed, again.

3. I doubt McCain will live long enough to run for re-election.
His celebrate is premature.

7. It would be interesting to find out how close we really came to President Palin
In a "slow down for the car accident" sort of way.

5. I'm pretty sure they weren't thinking of McCain when they tapped Janet. In fact,...
...I'm guessing that what they WERE thinking of was something along the lines of "We need a bureaucrat who can back a certain Senate Committee Chair up against a wall and wet himself with fear."

And Janet's just the lady to do it.

interestedly,
Bright

6. Notice he announced for re-election for Senate today?

He knew once Janet was out of the way he has a chance to win in 2010.
