I Just Have to Say, Obama is Hiring the Big Guns! |
|
Obama is getting the best, most qualified, most experienced most efficient people in our government.
He is the boss, leading what is turning out to be an outstanding and impressive team.
If this mess can be cleaned up, the Obama Administration can do it.

2. Sorry, I'm not sold on the Clin...er, Obama team |
|
During the primaries, I chose Obama over Clinton because I felt Clinton, though she had experience, didn't have the right kind of experience in the issues that Americans needed our next President to address.
I think Hillary will be fine as Secretary of State, with a few nudges here and there. The Obama administration, however, looks like it's going to be stuck in Clinton-era thinking, and that's not the change we need, let alone the change we voted for.

Obama's got a dynamic personality, but when he actually has to deal with the collective weight of his administration officials, it'll be interesting to see what happens.

8. Most were with him pre Iowa. Clinton era means necessary experience. |
|
Bill and Hill will be interesting, but we can't distance from skill and goo world wide reputation. Obama is chief among good talent.

9. What makes you think Obama is stuck in Clinton-era thinking? |
|
Have you looked at his agenda? Have you listened to him?
Just because he is hiring some very qualified and effective people that have worked for Bill Clinton in the past, does not mean they are "tainted". What do you think, once you work for a Clinton, you are forever a rabid corporatist?
David Axelrod worked for Clinton before, too. Obama is building a coalition that can get shit done, and that is exactly what we need right now.

I never said that Obama himself would be stuck in that mindset - just his administration. But I could be wrong.

I am taking the wait and see approach. I think these are intelligent and capable people, where ever they have worked before.
