16. His change wasn't about "what", but "how".
And before he begins to work on policy, it will be difficult to draw a conclusion. I am impressed with the judiciousness and expediency of the cabinet choices so far; that's not to say that I agree with all of them, but I find the level of effort exerted in making the choices very promising.

7. So what is the OFFICIAL lineup so far?
Not rumored, unconfirmed, or hyped by "anonymous sources", but the actual nominees as of now?

12. I just came across this article: Obama makes key Cabinet picks
WASHINGTON - Just over two weeks after Barack Obama won the presidential election, his new Cabinet and economic team are starting to take shape.

Several key appointments, including State and Treasury Department secretaries, appear to be nearly done deals, with Democratic officials confirming Obama's intended nominees.

Hillary Clinton will give up her Senate seat and accept the nomination for secretary of state, The New York Times reported Friday.

17. And from that article.....
Edited on Fri Nov-21-08 06:08 PM by Sebastian Doyle
..."The Obama advisers cautioned that no final decision has been made on putting Napolitano in charge of the Homeland Security Department, the massive agency created by Congress after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. But the advisers said she was easily the top contender.

Thus far, Obama has informally selected Washington lawyer Eric Holder as attorney general and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle as health secretary. But any plans could be sidetracked by unexpected glitches in the final vetting process, officials note."

So not only is Hillary NOT a done deal, but neither are Napalitano, Daschle, or even Holder. And Richardson as Commerce is even "expected Monday".

So again I ask, who is even OFFICIALLY nominated, at this point?

and ACCOMPLISHED people. He looks like he wants to get stuff done.

I'm not sure if I agree completely with all his picks but that's to be expected...I am also hoping that certain issues will be addressed during the confirmation hearings. However, I don't see corporate hacks or cronies or religious fanatics. I am excited about this team. I am looking forward to it. It will be such a breath of fresh air from what we've had to endure the last eight years.

Before coming to any conclusions, I am willing to wait and see and give this cabinet the benefit of the doubt. I have trusted Obama's judgment thus far and he hasn't let me down for the most part.
