She'd have to do something horribly bad (which she probably will) before Obama fires her.

She won't last more than 2 years as SoS.

2. The president can't fire his cabinet members, if I recall correctly.
He can ask them to resign, but he cannot just cut them off.

Most just tend not to, since it looks bad.
