1. Remember that the Franken claim of being less than 100 away was based on Franken's observers -
their count, not the official SOS tally. Franken's observers are including votes that are extremely likely to go into the Franken column when they go before the State Canvassing Board -- even though they have not yet been included in the official tally.

2. Here is what is REALLY going on, IMHO
Franken will win the recount when the disputed ballots are ultimately judged.

They are intentionally challenging legitimate votes in Hennepin County so that Franken's win will be viewed as "illegitimate."

Much like the shenanigans in Washington in 2004.

3. Examples of Coleman challenges here
They are challenging McCain voters who voted for Franken.

That said, I think most challenges will be overruled for both sides. I'm nervous.

7. Wow. That was a huge shift for Meeker County.
Considering it's so small.

It's shifts like that that reminds me that this recount isn't over until it's REALLY over (i.e. until the smallest of counties repeat their recounts).

9. that's because of the number of Franken challenges
unless those are upheld, some of those numbers will be recouped by Coleman.

12. That's right so
if the challenges are not upheld, then the votes will go back to the opposing party's camp (except for the one's that go to "other". this means that right now Coleman is 120 votes ahead, and the Franken campaign has challenged 27 more votes than Coleman. so you need to add those votes to Coleman's total. (This is being very conservative.) So to be comfortable, we need to pick up 147 more votes or keep the vote count the same and see Coleman go ahead in the challenges.
