But the problem is that so many Obama supporters during the primaries portrayed the Clintons as the ultimate representatives of the DLC, and Obama as the anti-DLC candidate.

Bill Clinton was a product of that once powerful organization, Senator Clinton will defer to people who were its members.

Obama is a Democrat. His career was catapulted by the Dean/Democracy for America movement, which wrested power from the old boy DLC. That much is true.

But that was a long time ago! The Obama campaign took advantage of the groundwork that the DNC did, recognized the value of the 50-state strategy, and implemented it beautifully. I especially appreciate this since I've lived in the west for the past 15 years. Many of us westerners do.

There are radical leaps in logic in politics, and here we're dealing with 1.) guilt by association, and 2.) non sequitur.

It is understandable that people are proud of what the Democratic Party has become and don't want to go back to the old boy model, but I honestly don't think that's going to happen. The new model is far too beautiful.
