Palin: "...at least one runner up bird should also be protected." Hmmm...
I wonder what's going through her mind when she reads those words.

"Benjamin Franklin once advocated the turkey as our national bird... and since our national bird, the eagle, actually is protected, it follows that at least one runner up bird should also be protected."


Why is she suddenly so sensitive to the needs and rights of "runner up birds"?
