Cab driver (Mexico), "What do you think about Obama?"

I am currently in Cabo San Lucas, Baja, Mexico, and I was on my way to the liquor store (I hate paying retail), in a van/cab driven by an aspiring Formula One driver (failing that, he could probably make it as a stunt driver).

The guy could not have been 30 years old.

He asked me how I felt about Obama.

I told him that I didn't know, but I was glad that George Bush would soon be gone.

He twirled his finger around his ear and said, "He is loco. What if La Raza exploded a bank in San Antonio. Do you know where that is? In Texas?".

I told him that I am from Texas and I do know where San Antonio is.

He said, "So, if that happened, would Bush invade Mexico and kill my friends?".

I replied, "Good question".

Then he asked, "And what about his father?".

Twirls finger, whistles thru his teeth, and says, "Muy loco".

Twirls two fingers, whistles twice and says, "Dos putos locos".

Translation:

"Two crazy whores."

I thought it was kind of interesting.

3. Down here, there are rumors afoot that we will be printing an International Dollar.

I have heard this on several occasions (from people who are more in the know (Mexico) than the cab driver).

Maybe this should be a daytime thread.

But the worry is that the US will print special currency to be used abroad, thus nullifying the value of greenbacks held overseas.

Wouldn' that be a peach?

people here are generally excited about P-E Obama. Unless their totally rich.
