That has to be the ONLY reason he's taking up the stupid case about Obama not being a citizen and therefore not qualified to be president. He said it at the Saddleback Church:

Obama's comments in August that Thomas was not "strong enough a jurist or legal thinker at the time" of his 1991 nomination to sit on the high court set off a firestorm of conservative criticism.

The Democratic nominee also said about Thomas: "I profoundly disagree with his interpretations of a lot of the Constitution."

1. If Obama isn't qualified, then neither were Jefferson, Jackson, Arthur, and Hoover
all of whom had at least one foreign born parent.

15. I don't even know why Thomas has taken this, after Souter rejected it
I know that the idiot that brought the case could then request a specific Justice, but Thomas could have said no, yet chose to take the thing.

18. Yeah you could be right
Typical Republican sour grapes, if someone doesn't agree with them they throw a fit.

19. Thanks...
I remembered when Obama criticized Thomas that night. It wasn't gonna win him any points with Thomas.

12. Why do you assume it is against Obama?
You can't make a legal argument against Obama when he has a birth certificate in this country.

John McCain and Roger Calero were also in the named in the case, and their natural born citizenship is open to more questions than Barack's.

13. True. I'm just ASSuming because of what Obama said about him once.
I could be wrong, of course, and that's true about the others named in the complaint.
