They're probably the most fair news programming out there and they are not beholden to corporations.

I just love it when he gets on a roll. I posted yesterday that he just tore a caller apart after the caller was stupid enough to declare it was "the union's fault" for the car industy's financial problems. It was a beautiful thing to hear.

Biden VP way back and what do you know. Everyones tastes are different but Cenk has been right on the money all down the line. I always listen to the folks who are right because my best fortunes lie with those people. Some broadcasters just bring you the issues Cenk he comes with a nice dose of solutions, it's the stuff we're looking for right now. Rhodes is also top of my list for calling it like it is. If you just want the facts in just a dry serious way democracy now is probably more suitable, but what the turks do is important they make politics palatable for the youth vote keeping them engaged is simply vital

42. They send the message that ANYONE can have a TV news show
Even if you are barely articulate. There used to be a time when you had to know things and be able to communicate to get your own television show.

I'm not saying that they're wrong, but the way they present themselves is so drunken frat boy-ish I can't click out of their videos fast enough.

And Rachel Maddow is just about the most annoying thing on television. She and Keith O. are so unprofessional it's astounding.

55. Stephanie Miller kicks everyone else's asses;
Edited on Sat Nov-22-08 10:15 PM by Phredicles
but I gotta say I don't get where people think Maddow is so negative - maybe I miss something only listening to her on the radio? She can be very funny, and she is indeed smart, even if that HRC as convention-wrecker from hell scenario never did pan out, did it? I'm not saying she isn't pessimistic at all, just not as much as she's accused of. Still, I'll admit to flipping stations when she has der Buchanfuehrer on. And I hate, HATE, HATE the phrase "talk me down".

Hartmann is also very informative, although he has too many right-wing brain-deads on. While in theory I applaud his commitment to the exchange of ideas, in practice we already have plenty of opportunities to hear any of those knuckle-draggers. The music out of his breaks is very cool, I must say.

Randi Rhodes is unlistenable for more than a few minutes, though. I'm just grateful the LA station moved her show to early afternoons away from late afternoon drive-time; that bleeding-eardum-inducing shrieking and bellowing doesn't exactly make being stuck in traffic go by quicker. Her hyperbole wears thin, too; with Bush the unvarnished truth is bad enough. And does she a gum smacker, or does she just sound like the sort of person who smacks her gum on the air?

The Young Turks I haven't really heard, though. As a Hellenophile, I can't say it's a top priority.:P

besides being incredibly nice, he's brilliant and hilarious on the spot.
Couldn't have asked for a better guy for article.
That, and he was an Obama way before the primary voting started.

AAR threw away another opportunity by running off TYT. They could have had another Maddow on their hands.
The same goes with Seder. AAr had a great youthful line-up and Mark Green screwed it up to bring aging boomer douches like lionel the Libertarian and Kuby (in reruns in the TYT slot)
