Which Performers would you like to hear at the inauguration?
Just curious to hear other views. I know i would love to hear Marvin Sapp sing, "I never would have made it."

Every time I hear that song I get chills and the words are so poignant to what the Obama's and all their supporters went through during the campaign. Sorry, Beyonce.

Here's a youtube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnAIgyPVxew

I am sure that Barack and Michelle are very familiar with this song since it is extremely popular in black churches.

I doubt you'd get Janet Jackson to go topless, unless
they decide to hold the inauguration in Miami this year.

46. I don't think that giving the right the finger is the message that we want to send at the inaugural
The whole campaign has been predicated on crossing divides in this nation; the Dixie Chicks would send a message something like, "Okay, we won, suck it!"

34. Jennifer Hudson should sing the National Anthem
She really is the only artist out right now who can do that song justice - Aretha used to be great, but she now lacks the power and range to really give an impressive vocal performance. I think Stevie Wonder, U2, Alicia Keys and Coldplay would also be appropriate.

43. Paul Simon, and the team of Billy Joel and Springsteen
Joel and Springsteen teamed up for a concert for Obama before the election.
Paul Simon's Graceland songs were a great tribute to African music, and would
be a nice nod to the memory of Miriam Makeba, who sang on the Graceland album,
and was on the Graceland tour. A nice mix!
