Obama got a free pass by the media?
There are some in the media now saying that Obama got a free pass by the media during the campaign.

Okay, excuse me but which candidate's past was dissected inside and out and whose every association was examined? Ummmm...what's that candidate name again? Only Obama's was...none of the other candidates were scrutinized like Obama during the primaries and general election. McCain never had to worry about his past and his associations...HE IS THE ONE WHO GOT A FREE RIDE!

1. You are right, but
when you think of it, McCain's people were trying to dig up shit and they were reporting the slightest things to the media. Obama's campaign didn't do that. So, in other words, the media was too lazy to dig and just reported on what was put out by campaigns. That would still be media doing a lousy job.

2. I'm not sure I'd call that three-week continuous loop of Rev. Wright a free pass.

3. That's just Mark Halperin whining, and he's a right-wing tool
Anyone who watched the campaign saw how McCain got the "hero" label daily, and Obama had
to contend with repeated Wright and Ayers links that were totally unjustified (i.e. either
over-emphasized, or outright made-up). Halperin parrots the Fox "News" line on this. It
doesn't necessarily have any connection with reality.

5. Yeah, this revisionist history is such a joke.
Why, you'd almost think that Fixed Noise never turned into the Jeremiah Wright Channel. You'd almost think that no pundits went on TV when Obama was in Germany talking about how arrogant it was and how he was acting like he was already president, or complained about that "too presumptuous" logo he used for a while that looked too much like the presidential seal. You'd think that their constant repetition of phrases like "But who is he?" and "We don't know who he REALLY is" and "But all he has is pretty words and a nice speech--he hasn't really said what he would do" and "Why can't he close the deal?" had never been spoken.

6. Relatively
Having watched the last 8 elections and the politics and the media actions and reactions, this time the media DID appear biased toward Obama. Relatively speaking.

The tin foil hat thing makes me think Obama has assured the PTB that they will not lose much money even tho big changes are needed and will be instituted. So, they went along w/Obama and went easy on him. Which bodes well for the coming changes in that the changes will be given good exposure. Good vs. negative, relatively speaking.
