My letter to change.gov

President-Elect Obama,

As an early supporter of yours who both volunteered for and donated money to your campaign, I hope you will give serious consideration to Rep. Dennis Kucinich's proposal for a federal-level Department of Peace. After two terms of senseless war waged without wisdom or just cause, it would send a powerful message to the country and to the world that the United States respects peace and holds it to be an organizing principle in our society. As you continue with the transition to the Presidency that so many of us have worked so hard for, I hope this is something you will at least consider.
