Obama has no experience
So they claimed. Also he was palling around with terrorists, and he was a Muslim.

We heard that shit then, and now, tho the words are different, the same kind of crap is being flung at him. And some of you expect us to just let it slide?

We objected when they said stupid shit about Obama then, and we still do today.

1. I didn't think everything would turn here within two weeks of him
being elected. I'll support him until there's a reason not to. His appointments are being made to put HIS policies into place. As long as the things he promised to do in order to restore this country are being carried out...I give my full support.

2. Well
That is only fair. We elected him to preside and that's what he is going about doing. He deserves our full support. If one of his policies, once in place and working, appears to not be doing what he told us he intended to do, then we all call him out.

13. Criticizing an unemployed guy on the grounds of poor job performance is close to the stupidest....
thing I can think of. And I have a pretty well-developed imagination.

4. I think it's just bad theater...
not very entertaining, and it's just a remake of the primaries. I didn't like the original version either.

12. The guy went and decided to fill his cabinet with DLCers and Clintonites. What did you expect?
That people wouldn't be pissed off? No. His supporters voted for him against Clinton. If his supporters wanted Clintonites, they could have voted directly for a Clinton.

15. So what do you plan to do now? Be pissed off another 4 years
until you can vote for someone else? Did you plan to vote for him and pick his cabinet too? I am not really happy about Hillary for SOS but there is nothing I can do about it. It hasn't been announced and if it is I still have to hope that the same agenda Obama promised will be carried out.

3. According to: Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers 10,000 hours to success theory that's right...
Which is part of why I don't get upset with Obama sourcing out expertise to others; it is no fault nor sin to understand where & when one comes up short in this or that area of expertise. The people that think that Obama is all things under the sun? They will be the ones who's hearts are broken into two whole pieces imo. Earth is here where people live, and problems persist until they are resolved..."terrorists" and "Muslim", they are the yada-yada stuff of elections yet-while questions requiring answers remain

7. He's been in public service for 20 years now........
What part of 10,000 hours confuses you?
You think he needed to be President for 10,000 before running?

Is there an end to your sentence? If so, Please type it out. Thanks.

10. And Clinton for 35+...
What part of *that* confuses you? Take the rest up with Malcolm, Rachel brought it up and he concurred after realizing he stepped into his own trap boink! -- so it has to be true, right? You're way too ridged relax already...he's already in there. Hughley's on CNN and he doesn't even have to straighten his tie. This is The New World Order, FrenchieCat...here's the end of the sentence. "Get used to it."

"You think he needed to be President for 10,000 before running?" Pft, now you're just being stupid.

16. It is not just the amount of time spent that qualifies one.
When I saw same interview, Malcom did say that Obama was one of those he was speaking of. And so, his 20 years is twice what is required. Just saying.

9. Can't wait to get my hands on that book by Gladwell.
Should be a great read. I saw him talking about it in his interview with Maddow the other night.

5. Why does anyone take anything people post under pseudonyms on the internet for Real?
Edited on Mon Nov-24-08 12:19 AM by patrice
Did you ever hear of posing and posers?

Really, I think it's absurd to get upset over BS that people won't even put their real names on - absurd, unless, that is, unless you WANT to be pissed off and involved in conflict more than anything else, no matter what ideals you claim to ascribe to.

6. Well
Why are you here? If you think this is all just fluff, why do you spend time here? Just a way to waste time?

Myself, I see DU as an educational tool. And if we let posers pose here and get away with dividing us from making this country a better place then we are wasting our time.

Good people have died trying to keep America free and healthy, so what little we can do here is a good thing, right?

8. It is possible to have an honest conversation here.
It's also possible to have playful conversations here.

Recognizing that people say ALL sorts of things for ALL sorts of reasons is what makes that possible.
