Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton
I think that has a very nice ring to it.

Sounds good to me.

4. From what I've been reading, it's a done deal.
The announcement will be made after Thanksgiving, apparently.

3. I like the sound of it too
I think she will do a terrific job in that post.

I also think there are intangibles she brings to the job that make her a better candidate for that job than anyone else. Intangibles like the generally well regarded foreign policy from the Clinton administration, the strong relationship with our allies, the respect for other leaders.

Other things that come to mind are her extensive travels around the world as First Lady where she was incredibly well recieved (I recall trips to Africa and to Southeast Asia).

Sometimes we forget the Clinton brand is more popular abroad than at home.

5. Are you sure she is going to get it. I found it interesting that Axelrod said on Fox
that they weren't going to announce the Commerce Secretary right now. But after the Holidays. I think there is still a chance Richardson will be Sec. of State.

11. well that is interesting.
maybe Hillary will realize she has a greater potential is an asset to the Senate, and to work on a Health Bill. Oh, well, we shall see.

8. I think this is what Hillary said to Barack at their meeting before the election.
I think it is a good thing, don't get me wrong. I just think Hillary knew then what she wanted and she usually gets it.

9. I agree with you
My husband and I have always said that they agreed upon her future position at that meeting and we were just waiting to see what it would be. It's been a done deal for months.

10. That would explain things
I never understood why he didn't want her as VP, but would want her as Secretary of State. I figured if he was able to overcome the differences in the primary to offer her Secretary of State, then he would have overcome them to offer her the V.P.

I guess it would make sense if Clinton turned down the V.P., and instead opted for another position in his administration. I know you're not insinuating as much as I just said, but it's more my thinking.
