Yet, how many major politicians can likewise be so comfortable posing with that precious little pup, conveying both its wrenching history at the same time providing the affection she truly deserves.

but my husband was right there, and we are all about the same age,

he is so gentle, and looks at them with such kindness and interest. A lot of people treat babies / young kids as props, or not as 'full people' but Obama just seems like he's wonderful with kids.
