3. Why is TNR trying to keep him in the race?
What a joke. Lieberman is non-existent in Iowa and is running 3rd and 4th in NH.

15. If by TNR you mean The New Republic...
they were very hawkish re. the Iraq invasion right from the get go. I don't know how they ever got their reputation for being a "liberal" magazine.

24. There's a good short history lesson of the rise and fall of TNR
In the book "What Liberal Media?"

5. Joe is...
... the quintessential symbol of desperation. He just doesn't know it, yet.

Joe is living proof that brainwashing is a viable technique.

2. If that is your criteria then Clark arrived since he declared.
Lieberman has been bashing Clark for ages. Remember Joe attacked Clark about lobbying from the beginning?

4. Maybe next time he rips into Dean, e.g., ...
...some of you guys will consider the source, and temper your glee just a bit. :)

6. Lieberman has
been attacking Clark since Sept 17th. He attacks Dean with some regularity also. I don't think this is anything unusual or anything to worry about. I see little evidence that Joe's ire has negatively impacted either candidate.

It's been pretty consistent that the more he talks the lower he goes in the polls. Pretty sad for Sen. Lieberman but pretty true also.

7. You'd think he'd have realized
that by now! What a pathetic joke, and he has the nerve to whine about the way Gore allegedly "mistreated" him!

8. Well... I wince anytime
Fratricide campaigns leave typically no winners.

Not considering the source here, just the manners - Lieberman makes me tune out before I hear his second syllable.

Wot evah.

9. Well, I'm glad that
Clark's name is getting out more in the media, and hopefully Lieberman will be able to work some of the same magic for Clark as he has for Dean with those attacks. I don't see any downside.

14. Lieberman has been a Democrat for decades
...while Wesley was off voting for Nixon, Reagan, doing GOP fundraisers, etc. This sudden approval for Clark despite being a blank slate domestically and a record of military aggression demonstrates the ability the DLC has in shaping elections.

17. Military/U.S. Congress Wes and Joe have served ALL Americans for decades.
The citizens of Vermont, I'm sure, were well served by Dr. Dean.

19. Dean was awesome at balancing Vermont's $437 deficit.
Clark wasn't doing much during those awesome Dean times. Just leading hundreds of thousands of troops and helping their families.

21. Dean supporters make a big deal about Clark's tenure in the Democratic
Party but will be the first one's to tell you that half of THEM are first time voters and Independents.

23. Democrats eating their own
Ron Reagan, who is not a conservative at all, mentioned this on Larry King on Tuesday night, about how the Democrats are eating their own, thus hurting the party's chances to defeat Bush in November.

25. Lieberman is a traitor to the party and needs to be removed
I wish his Dem status could be revoked. He's not one of us, he's gone over to the Dark Side. Damn you Lieberman.

26. The real traitor is Zell Miller, who has endorsed Bush
I don't see the party establishment ousting Miller from his committee assignments or stripping him of his superdelegate credentials for the Democratic Convention.

27. Indeed!!! I agree with you...Miller must go, but...
a major house cleaning of the Dem party is in order and I hope one comes in the next few elections or criminal trials. Lieberman should be removed also, along with a good list of those who side with Bush and refuse to question his judgement. Or those who publically mock the rest of our hard working Dems. Enough is enough I say! Time to get some new blood in there to help us get rid of the Millers, Liebermans and Daschels...send em packin' I say!
