CNN: Sarah Palin has a new 30-second ad out. Wait, WHAT?!
But it's true.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/11/24/pro-palin-ads-thank-you-ads-hit-the-airwaves

The Our Country Deserves Better PAC has begun running spots in Alaska — two 60-second ads, and two 30-second versions — that pay tribute to Palin, with plans to expand the ad buy to the rest of the country sometime this week.

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner," chief strategist Sal Russo said in a statement. "I worked with President Ronald Reagan since his first days in the California Governor’s Office, and I can tell you that I see so many similarities between President Reagan and Governor Palin."

The PAC — which sponsored the "Stop Obama Now" bus tour during the campaign season — said it plans to spend at least $50,000 airing the ads in Alaska. It has not yet released details of the ad buy on national broadcast and cable networks.

1. I think the ad is more "for" her than "by" her.
I dont think this is something she's responsible for.

But yeah, it's superlame.

7. there's a republican faction that wants to keep her viable for a future run at the presidency
they want to rehabilitate her image by loudly and continuously pretending there is no need to rehabilitate her image.

10. You're making my head hurt
It's still aching from the turkey killing video. How are they explaining that one away? Or the "Africa is a country" bit? Or half-a-dozen other Palanisms?

4. Some moran was on MSNBC this morning touting these "ads" ...
He said that there's "so much negativity" about Palin on the
'net (specifically citing DU, along with Kos and HuffPo) that
he just HAD to form a PAC to combat it ...

21. I saw that this morning..
The asshat went on to whine that Obama had "bought the presidency", that he was a "terrorist sympathizer", you know, the usual Freeper bit. :eyes: Though it did make me laugh that he specifically cited this site and that he had obviously lurked on here. Bet we ruined his day.

25. What's funny is that he probably drove more traffic to DU with his whining on the TV about us
and thus being completely counterproductive to what he's trying to do.

This only reminds people why we didn't vote for her. These nut jobs can't seem to realize that only the base of the republican party will by the cramp. The rest of us will change the channel.

14. She will either be 2012 Giuliani or the GOP's Hillary
That is to say, she will either flame out spectacularly in Iowa and keep losing relevance until she finally withdraws. Or she continues campaigning even though she has no chance of winning. Either way we win! :)

23. Yes, but not by much...
Andrew Jackson won the popular vote and had the most electoral votes, but not the majority needed. The top three candidates were taken, and the House would decide the winner. In what became known as a "Corrupt Bargain", Henry Clay gave the presidency to John Quincy Adams, becoming the Sec of State (use to mean heir apparent to presidency) in return. Jackson started campaigning immediately after, so that would have been in the January following election.

involved in those ads. Still smiling, he started calling opponents racist and more. Norah said, "You're really serving it up hot this Thanksgiving".
