and Ready to Go!

As my husband said to me this morning, as we reviewed the fucked up state of affairs (our own personally, our business, business in general, and globally for the wider look)....."things are about to change, so it's a whole different ballgame."

It might be easy for crackpots like Jim Cramer (CNBC whore, accomplice of our current financial state and whiner du Jour) to forget Obama's ability to rally for his cause via the bully pulpit, world respect, a Democratic Congress, and brain power......in order to change the current landscape.

I believe that if anyone can clean up the fucked up mess that has occurred, Barack Hussein Obama can. He was elected for a reason, and that reason is about to become apparent. That's how I see it.

Oh yeah....and I've noticed that Obama has invited progressives and centrists on board.......with Obama responsible for the largest brain trust of them all; his own (IMO).

1. I saw Cramer on Morning Joe today, and he's actually feeling pretty positive about...
Obama's economic team and proposals.

4. Well he was whining today on Hardball.......
Edited on Mon Nov-24-08 05:31 PM by FrenchieCat
He thinks no tax increases for anyone should have been explicitly stated by Obama. Cramer is still worried about Capital Gains tax...and again, he was part of the problem. The only reason we have to hear from him is that he is a big mouth crackpot with a microphone....unfortunately for many of us.

16. It's hilarious that Jim Cramer is whining about Obama not eliminating the Capital Gains tax.
Edited on Mon Nov-24-08 06:26 PM by SurferBoy
Obama, in an interview talked about capital gains.

He said that it really affects less than 0.5% of the population, but brings in about $100 billion per year in taxes to the federal government for use on critical programs.

Obama also opined that if it were removed, what would those for it's removal like to do: eliminate $100 billion of services to poorer people, or keep them and either borrow the money from foreign countries or raise taxes on the other 99.5% to pay for it?

Those like Cramer who whine about capital gains never talk about that part of it.

3. Words cannot express how confident I feel in his hands
even if things don't go perfectly, he is 1000 times better than the alternative (McCain/Palin).

8. Woo Hoo! I'm fired up and feeling more confident about things to
come. It also helped that today I got a call for a job interview! First call in 30 days and even if it doesn't work out, I'll be happy to put on a suit and go and talk to a human about possible employment!

Anyone complaining after surviving the last eight years,

10. I am totally in agreement, FrenchieCat.
If McCain had somehow won I'd be trying to decide which bridge to jump off. I have total faith in Obama's ability to make sense of this mess and improve our lot in life.

I think Obama has to the the most critized and worried over President Elect ever in history. The man isn't even in office yet and the the gloomers and doomers have escalated their whining.

Whatever it takes to get us out of what we are in, I'm cheerin'!

I'm not interested in us failing, so if I can contribute via good will, I'm there.

15. I'll take my chances with the Obama team thankyouverymuch.
Not only is the man highly intelligent but he actually knows what it's like for the average American and he has a genuine desire to improve the lives of all Americans. That's his motivation - not greed or thirst for power.

His heart is in the right place and he has the brains to put a successful plan into action. He is currently in the process of assembling his team to carry out the business of getting this country back on track.

I wish people would take more of a wait and see approach before they start nailing him to the cross. We haven't even begun to see the full picture, but we already knows he has the potential to be transformational.

18. Here's the way I see it.
When I think about how smoothly and efficiently the campaign was run I have to be feeling positive. In spite of the mess that's been left behind I can't think of anybody more competent than Barack Obama to get moving and get things done.

20. Cramer said today the entire rally is due to Obama
He said Obama's reassuring words and deeds have given hope to the market and that we may have passed the bottom. I was trading today, and I gotta tell you, that bounce was directly due to Obama's speech.

23. I guess you could call me a swinging pendulum....
On the one hand, I am terrified because I am laid off as of January 17th, and the thought of job searching in this economy is really frightening. On the other hand, I feel like just having a fully Democratic administration, and in particular the progressive pragmatic Obama in charge at least gives me hope I would not have at all had McCain somehow snagged it.

Mr. President Obama... I am counting on you... please don't waste one single moment... I don't care about that "one President at a time" bullshit. I NEED YOU NOW!!

I was so elated during the GE and worked to get him elected. It seemed that within hours of winning the election, the negativity started and I'm tired of it. I think I need a break. Keep the fires going FrenchieCat.
