Hey we're the largest single owner of Citibank Stock: RE-naming contest for "Citi-Stadium"
that Citibank has naming rights to for $400M.

Since we just saved their ass to the tune of 20 BILLION and now hold 7 BILLION dollars in stock, shouldn't the TAXPAYERS get to name the stadium? Shouldn't WE get BOX seats and SEASON tickets?

Just askin'

Post your naming ideas here...

14. Um...
Yankee stadium closed this season, and starting next year the Yankees will no longer be playing in "Yankee Stadium." It will be a new ballpark, however I do not know the name just yet.

Fenway and Wrigley are the last of the originals...

remain Yankee Stadium.

21. The new name of Yankee Stadium is...
Yankee Stadium. People up there probably would have burned the place to the ground if they had named it anything else. (I grew up in the Bronx, I know.)

Well, maybe they would have put up with Boston Sucks Stadium.

13. Tell me about it...welfare for billionaires in Orlando too..
they just bought Rich DeVos a new basketball arena for $500 M plus interest when the "old" one is a mere 19 years old (I know people who drive older cars). All in all they are spending 2.1 BILLION plus interest building 3 unnecessary venues when we are in the middle of a budget crisis and recession here in Florida and there are more important things to spend the money on (public transit, police/emergency responders, roads, schools)

27. We are not getting our money's worth, either.
These deals are great for the banks, but lousy for the US. Giving Treasury carte blanche, who then requires virtually nothing of the banks, is a prescription for failure and wasted money.

Bush and his completely incompetent appointees have proved that their unique combination of graft, corruption, and incompetence are unparalleled in American history.

You can fool some of the people some of the time ... but you can't get fooled again!

Or they could name it after a different taxpayer every day. They have to wear the old-fashioned uniforms on Retrograde day, though.
