AJC: Sarah Palin coming to Atlanta on Monday; Will campaign with Chambliss across Georgia
(Hope Palin's coming to Georgia will motivate Democrats to get out and vote for Democrat, Jim Martin.)
Sarah Palin coming to Atlanta on Monday
Will campaign with Chambliss across Georgia

By JIM THARPE

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will come to Georgia next week to campaign for incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss on the eve of the runoff election.

Palin, who drew large crowds while running for vice president with Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. John McCain, will appear at Chambliss rallies in Augusta, Savannah, Perry and Atlanta on Monday, the day before the Dec. 2 senate runoff between Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin.

The Atlanta rally has been tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m., but the location had not be determined Tuesday morning.

Palin has been lambasted by the left, but she is immensely popular with many conservative voters. The McCain-Palin ticket carried Georgia on Nov. 4 by about 200,000 votes.

The senate runoff has thrust Georgia into the national political spotlight. It has drawn a parade of political a-listers for both candidates as the last major political contest of 2008 is decided at the polls.

Only Senate races in Georgia and Minnesota, where a recount is under way, still are undecided. Democrats now have 58 seats in the U.S. Senate, putting them within reach of a so-called “super majority” of 60.

Seriously. Chambliss and Palin deserve each other and appeal to the same sort of idiots.

I can only hope that our Obama supporters will see her in the local news and...

GET THEIR ASSES TO THE POLLS!

6. I guess being Governor of Alaska is really a
small part-time job!

Sarah has spend more than two months away from the state already this year, and now she's got lots of time to campaign for Rethuglican idiots in the lower 48?

Such great "executive" experience.

12. Well, as people have pointed out.....
There are cities that have larger populations than the entire state of Alaska.

Outside of the energy suppply elements I imagine that Sarah's job as governor doesn't require any more knowledge or ability than that of the mayor of NYC, Pittsburgh, etc.

Given that, it's no surprise that she has all this time to travel.

14. . I agree with you but ,Oh please..,The mayors of larger US cities have
10 times the brains of a Sarah Palin.

There really isn't much for Sarah to do these days and Atlanta is a lot warmer than Alaska this time of year.

19. Oh, I would agree that most mayors of any size cities have more smarts than Palin
Quite simply, the only thing Palin has going for her is her looks. There's not a hell of a lot of difference that separates Palin from someone like Pat Robertson. If Robertson looked like Brad Pitt he may have been able to generate more interest when he ran for president.

Once age catches up to Palin the Freeps will discard her for another shiny trinket.

Images on TV of the pitchfork mobs that Palin will attract will only remind people of the need to come out and vote or just passively agree to more of the same. Palin is a net loss for Republicans.

but Alaskans for Truth, which has formed a real live PAC, is working hard to at least see that she answers for some of her ethical challenges in the meantime. She's really out of control, and even though we're a small state, we have some very serious issues that need somebody's attention immediately.

Here's Celtic Diva's take on this whole thing from her blog this morning.

http://divasblueoasis.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=326

Pushing through a gasline contract that may never get built

-- minus $500,000.00

Running out of gas in the most populous area of the state

-- incalculable loss

Primary source of state income down to $49.00/ barrel

-- minus millions of $$$

State budget that desperately needs to work
BEFORE the Legislative session because of loss of income

-- unimaginable future consequences

Highest sexual assault and DV rate in the country, especially in Rural Alaska

-- untold human misery

Flying off whenever you want, ignoring all "actual responsibilities" so that you can campaign for a racist jerk-off on the State of Alaska dime

30. Please consider my comment to Old Cursoe in another thread.
We were discussing Sista Sarah and OC said that Romney and Hucklebee are not likely to be willing to give up their place in the RNC rankings to the likes of her.

I agree about Romney and Hucklebee, but don't forget who is the republican senator in Alaska. The daughter of the man she smeared to get where she is has an interest in seeing her fall. Those abuses that she has committed while claiming to be a reformer will not be overlooked and will result in the hunt for more. What sweet justice would it be for the daughter to be able to watch her father's judas be charged with the same crimes he has been convicted of. The house that Palin built may well be her bridge to political nowhere.

Just my opinion about the likelihood that she will be and/or is being investigated. Not only is she not qualified to be VP, she has proven that she isn't qualified to be a leader in the party and others know it and resent the hell out of her.
