Female Repub congresscritter (didn't get name) said on MSNBC that Obama won't roll back the Bush tax
cut in 2011 because he will be running for reelection so he won't dare do it at that point. So they are counting on NOTHING HAPPENING TO THE TAX CUT AND PERPETUATE IT FOREVER! I sure hope she was wrong....

1. Actually, the tax cuts will expire in 2011. So Obama doesn't need to do anything.

They're going to let it die. That way, no one votes for a tax increase.

3. Expires in 2010.
just in case folks believe that 2011 means at the end of that year.

2. Well, Republicans have been wrong before

;)

But really, the Bush tax cut expiration will affect very few voters. Taxing the wealthy is not a campaign killer when you are basing your campaign on the middle class. Obama was very clear that he would either roll back or let the tax cuts expire and it did not hurt his election at all.

5. Obama will have middle class taxcuts in his stimulus
So they will have a hard time running against him on taxes. When he lets the Bush cuts expire

9. I wondered the same thing.
If they don't expire until 2011, do you really see the Democrats letting the Republicans make an issue of not extending those cuts (at a time when they will be up for re-election)?
