My favorite campaign moment and a proud part of my life....
At the Democratic Convention in Denver....

Hillary Clinton comes to the floor to led a motion to nominate Obama by acclamation.

Watch this video and look as they cut to the crowd and an African American woman crying tears of joy and pride in the crowd.

What a moment for our party. Hillary Clinton moves to nominate Obama. Pelosi has the biggest smile on her face. And Barack Obama officially becomes the Democratic nominee.

I'm so proud of our party. I can't wait for January.

President Obama.

:) I smile when I say it

Heres the link to the video:

(Just trying to change the mood at DU. It's less than a month after the election, and some are already turning on Obama and getting pissed off before he ever serves a day in office)

Yes, that was a wonderful moment. As a NYer, I was so proud
that my Senator and my state made Obama the nominee - I thought for sure that honor would be given to either IL or HI.

1. I cried too.
I didn't cry during the actual election, but I cried during that moment at the convention. Go figure.

2. Hell, I cried about ten minutes ago when I watched the video it again.
It was a moving moment. That's when I knew he were going to win.

Well, not for sure obviously. But I knew we had the wind at our backs.
