Inauguration Planning, Corporate Donations Prohibited
Construction has begun on the Inauguration Platform on the West Front of the Capitol Building.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee web site is up.

And, best of all, Obama has prohibited donations from "corporations, political action committees (PACs), current federally registered lobbyists, non-U.S. citizens and registered foreign agents," which is said to be a "marked shift" by Public Citizen.

Sounds good to me!

Which still gives people an ear, but at least it isn't as bad as straight from the corporate coffers. And other Presidents have accepted $100,000 and more, so even the $50,000 limit is an improvement.

After the inauguration, that sneaky Obama inauguration committee will begin to take money from PAC, lobbyists, and foreign terrorists, and LOTS of it!
